Was it you? The Comedy Knights just made my day

By | December 10, 2014

Local memes are getting better and better. With politics being such an important part of the Maltese social sphere many of our memes tend to revolve around it.

After MalliaGate or BridgeGate or whatever you want to call it, the internet was flooded with “OK Sieħbi” and “Enerġija Pożittiva” memes. Some got a little repetitive but then some others were pure gold like my personal favourites below.

This is some quality stuff, but nothing could have prepared me for this video by The Comedy Knights. It’s a promo for their Comedy Knights Christmas Comedy Cavalcade and it really made my morning.

It’s a rendition of Shaggy’s Wasn’t Me and recounts the conversation between two Sliemiżi and the angst that one of them has for voting Labour in the last election. They mention things such as the sale of passports, Muscat’s pushback threats and all the meritocracy which has now gone down the drain.

My personal favourite part has to be the bit at the end where the friend thinks that Labour are only in power for 2 years. Just for this gem I’ll surely be grabbing myself 2 tickets to go watch these Comedy Knights. Kudos to you!

Show starts on the 26th December until the 3rd of January. Tickets available from ticketline.com.mt.

Typical nationalist spinners spinning and lying. Your days are over now

It’s called satire and it’s perfectly healthy in a democracy

      • Paul Micallef

I was not talking to them I was talking to you. But maybe you forgot all the venom you are spiting in your blogs. Also, a pity that in the previous ‘democracy’ we couldn’t have satire unless it was in favor of the previous regime!

      • http://www.melahart.com melahart

Spiting venom? Everything I write is based on facts and if you don’t like it you can either look elsewhere or else get yourself a blog and start writing out your opinions too.

Also, go and check what the term satire really means.

      • Paul Micallef

It seems more to me that you actually repeat what radio 101 says and repeat it like a parrot. And thanks for the offer but I know what satire means. Obviously this is music for your ears had it been against Simon you would actually sing a different song

      • http://www.melahart.com melahart

Not really, had it been about Simon Busuttil I would still have shared it because despite what you may think I don’t believe in colours and if you go through my blog you can notice that when this current government does do something good I also come out and say it. But of course, it might be hard for you to comprehend that a person can be independent and objective since you clearly only see red.

      • Paul Micallef

Funnily enough for you ‘independent’ guru (oh how dare I being a being who ‘only see red’ as I was just told by this ‘intelligent’ being) I did make my research and, funnily enough you ‘independent’ guru seem to be favoring a more blue color from what one sees….

      • http://www.melahart.com melahart

And what does that actually say about me? Does it mean I have the stream of radio 101 like you suggested implanted in my brain? No, it means that I have my own opinion and I cant talk about things in an objective manner. Sometimes it might be pro government sometimes anti and for your information I’ve been attacked by all kind of people… red and blue for voicing my opinion. Now, being the holiday season, I don’t want to argue as we both have differing opinions and this could go on forever. So, I genuinely wish you a happy New Year!

      • Paul Micallef

I also wish you and your family a happy and joyful New Year. For the record you told me that I see only red and that I am not objective. But anyhow. All the best for your future

That is very true, and I’m sorry for that – the comment was out of place.

Apology accepted I make mistakes as well :)
